Books and Reading Tag

Nominated by Christine

Who doesn't love a good book?!

Christine of Everything is Blogsome nominated me for this fun tag, which was originally created by Noor over at A Little Bit of Sunshine. Even though I don't actually make it to a new book very often (I'm working on that), I absolutely love to read and find books to be such nifty little things. So, as always, thank you Christine, and here are the rules as given by herself and Noor!

Books and Reading: A Book Challenge

Rules
  • Answer all of the given questions
  • Repost the above picture with a link to Noor's blog as well as the blog of the person who tagged you
  • You may tag people if you'd like, but it isn't required

Questions
(I'm a bit confused on this part, so Noor/Christine please correct me if anything is wrong!)

#1 To be read in April?

Unfortunately, I have no "to-be-read" books for April. Or any specific month, really. I just get to them when I get to them—which, as I mentioned, isn't very often (and this is why I'm not a book reviewer!).

#2 Book series you would like to see as a movie?

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher! They did make a T.V. show; however, it only ran for one season and had little to do with the books in terms of plot lines. While I enjoyed it, I believe they could have done better things with it. I'd also like to see them finish the Inkheart series!

#3 Overhyped book/author?

There are quite a few... Stephenie Meyer comes to mind. ;) Oh, and Fifty Shades of Grey.

#4 The best book series you've ever read?

Have to say, again, The Dresden Files. Fifteen books and still going.

#5 Book to movie adaptation that was really bad?

Hm... Can't think of any myself. I've heard Eragon was pretty bad, but I've never read the books nor seen the movies.

#6 Books that made you cry?

I'm sure there was one, but nothing comes to mind at the moment!

#7 Book you are reading at the moment?

The Pearl by John Steinbeck. Although this is for a class.

#8 Book series that you just didn't like?

None. I've liked every series that I've had the pleasure to read thus far!

#9 Books you really need to read but haven't yet?

Ooh... The list is huge for this one. Let's start with:

-The classics: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Chronicles of Narnia...
-Throne of Glass (Sarah J. Maas)
-The Iron Druid Chronicles (Kevin Hearne)
-The Shadowmagic Trilogy (John Lenahan)

...I could go on.

And, last but not least, Christine's question!

#10 What was the first book you really loved?

If I remember right, it was Inkheart by Cornelia Funke!
------------------------------

Alrighty. Now I'm supposed to come up with a question, right? Here we go.

If your favorite book was being turned into a movie, who would you cast as the main character?

Thanks again for the nomination, Christine! I'm not going to tag anyone specific, but please go for it if you're interested in doing this!

    1. I gathered that was your favorite LOL. Agreed, even though I've not read the books, I think they did a wonderful job with the casting. Fun, believable personalities all around!

I haven't!! Isn't that terrible? Been meaning to read them for years, but never got to them. Someday, though! Someday.

    1. It is! That's usually just how these things go, though. If you see a tag making the rounds, you'll probably see about 500 more within the same week or two lol..

Thank you for the kind words as always, and I'm so glad you enjoyed reading my answers!

    1. No worries, I get that. So little time! That sounds like it would be an interesting read. Is it written in English, or have an English version? While knowing myself and how long it takes to get to a new book, I'd love to check it out sometime. Language and culture are a couple things that I've been into recently - it's neat to see how others live and speak and do things. Thanks for sharing that little tidbit about yourself, Seema! :)

    3. To be honest, I haven't! Just looked it up though, and yes I think that sounds like another one I'll have to give a try sometime. Despite my love for books, I'm quite out of the loop lol! Gotta fix that.

    5. Movie adaptations are definitely much quicker, and in their own ways just as good. Can't beat a book, in my opinion, though. ;)
