Poem: "Shuttered Dichotomy"

Shuttered Dichotomy
By: Eve Estelle

He who hears the words of one
Shall find the answer plain,
Yet he who hears the words of two
Shall lose it to the rain;

With each falling tear a voice,
I brand allegiance vain,
Stand not against thy varied kin,
Nay, nor lie amongst the slain --

Behold no war in monochrome,
Paint blends amidst the rain,
I plead with thee to hear the tale
And silence not the sane --

The artist's brush is manifold,
The miner's golden vein --
Truth be sought from every angle,
Don't settle for it plain.

  1. Wow! Such a beautiful poem. I love how I can see the contrast in the picture just as much as the poem itself. Love it! :)

    1. Thank you!! :) That picture was an accidental find, and it turned out to be perfect for this! Which was awesome, because I really had no clue what to even look for in this case.

    1. That seems to be the case all around! I'm glad, though, 'cause that was an irritating stanza to figure out (I only had a vague idea of what I wanted the poem to say, as usual, so the last part was like.. Okay, where do I go now?? LOL).
