It's been a great year. Tough, full of fun, and just outright strange at times, but looking past all of the rough patches, 2014 was a year that I'll look back on and smile.
I enjoy my relative anonymity on the Internet, and so I shall not delve too deeply into my personal life here. Besides, what I really want to say is this:

To each and every one of you reading this. All of your comments and emails make my day brighter, and my inspiration to write stronger. Without you, this blog would just be a lonely storage garage for the things I want to save—but with you, it's alive.
I created Edge of Night on October 8, 2014 simply with the intention of uploading my poems and stories to someplace other than Microsoft Word. I had run a couple of other blogs previously, but they never went much of anywhere because I never advertised. I didn't expect this one to go anywhere either, but I enjoy blogging whether anyone reads what I write or not, so I gave it a shot—and somehow I ended up with 36 wonderful members, and likely a few more readers that don't make their presence known. That may not seem like an impressive number to those of you with hundreds and even thousands of followers, but honestly. I never expected that.
I wish there was something special I could do for all of you—but I don't think there's anything that would truly show my appreciation. So I guess, for now, thank you will have to suffice.
Please continue to be the incredible people that you are, and have a wonderful New Years. I'll see you in 2015.

DeleteI agree it's been a great year! Full of tough situations but also lots of amazing experiences and lessons too. I enjoy blogging myself as I get to express myself through the writing and photography but I agree with you that it's the interaction happening on your blog that makes it much more of a lively place and encouraging atmosphere! ReplyDeleteThank you, Niki! Yes, blogging is just overall a great thing to do. It allows you to share anything that is on your mind, be it in the form of photographs, videos, artwork, or plain text. You can make great friends, and maybe even inspire others while others inspire you. I'd still blog if I didn't have anyone reading, but the interaction makes it a much more interesting experience. Thanks once again, and you have yourself an amazing one as well!
