Poem: "A Toast To This New Year"


A Toast To This New Year

To days of old, to the past,
And stories for long told --
To the future yet unwritten;
To the falling night, the gold of dawn
That heralds this new year,
May the secrets that you hold
Serve well my family dear.


Author's note: Just a random little "toast" that managed to make it down on paper -- er, digital paper. Nothing big; I only spent about 10 minutes on it, but I figured I'd post it anyway for fun. Happy New Year!
