Visionary
By: Eve Estelle
Aim for a target that lies beyond your sight,
Forget failure, the clipper of wings - go as far as you can;
The chance to soar exists for those who dream,
Stars shine their brightest in the absence of light.
Author's note: Acrostic poems are poems that contain hidden messages within their lines - can you find the phrase hidden here? :)
Hint:
- Four words (not individual letters).
- The second word is the first syllable of a two-syllable word.
Feel free to comment when you find it!

I really love how the title, the poem and the image always matches perfectly :)It is amazing as always! Keep it up Eve :D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Hp! :D I try to make them all work together - doesn't always happen, but I'm glad you like them!
DeleteI love the last line about when stars shine brightest...so so true...
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it. :) Probably my favorite line in this as well. You don't typically see the stars in the sky (er, besides the sun) while the daylight hides them; but they speckle the beautiful night sky by the millions.
DeleteI love this sooo much! I love the mention of wings and stars and light. It's so beautiful and I love the image. I also love that there is a hidden message in the poem. It makes it even more magical! I adore your writing. It really made me smile. xxx ❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteWings, stars, and light - *sings* "These are a few of my favorite thingggs..." lol. Thank you, Laila! Isn't the image gorgeous? I love any kind of astronomy-related photograph like that. :) I believe it's of an actual star cluster, too - the Pleiades.
DeleteHidden messages give pieces so much more meaning! I don't do it often though, because any messages I'd want to add disappear from my mind when it's time to write. *sigh*
Thank you so much again, I appreciate the kind words, you stopping by, and the follow!
I haven't visited your blog in a while, but I missed your poems. This one is beautiful as always and very inspirational. I was trying to find the hidden phrase, but I think I failed.

Good to see you again, Chioma! :) I missed seeing you around here. Thank you so much, and at least that means I didn't make it super obvious.
DeleteHere's a small hint: It's four words, it's a well-known saying, and the second word of the phrase is contained within another word.
