Winds of Change
By: Eve Estelle
That's how it goes, now please don't cry;
An era comes, an era goes,
It'll always be no matter how hard we try;
Days go by, we drift along
The winds of change, their current strong.
The seasons bloom, the seasons fade,
But remembered are the memories made;
Times will pass, we must move on,
To greener pastures and a bright new dawn.
Beautiful, Eve! So perfect!
ReplyDeleteMay I share this poem on my blog? I'll give credit to you of course.:D
Oh, of course you can! I'd love that ^^ Thank you for asking, and for offering to give credit. :)
DeleteWe go on, but to what?

Who knows? I prefer to keep a positive outlook and hope that we all move on to better situations, but it depends on where you're at now. You could move on to something better, or you could move on to something worse. Both are temporary, however - you can't be certain how things will change, but you can be sure that they *will* eventually change.
DeleteAw, I love this! I always have trouble with change and when the seasons in my life shift. This is really good. It helps. :)
ReplyDeleteChange is hard! It's never been easy for me, either. I've always loved where my life is, and I don't want anything to change. It's inevitable, though, and I'm glad this helps you a little bit. Thanks for commenting, Ashley!
DeleteMost beautiful and fluid,love the flow...great work my friend,you are something.
ReplyDeleteAs are you! I agree that the flow in this piece came out well - I was very happy with it. Thanks so much. :)
Delete:) you're welcome Eve :)
DeleteI don't exactly know how one season invites the other.. But, it is never same with us. Nature changes for us and we change for ourselves. How greed..!!!
ReplyDeleteI see where you're coming from with that, and I agree that it's too often the case! However, we don't always like how nature changes, nor can we control it - it just goes through its natural cycles when and where it's supposed to. When it comes to humans, we don't always change for the worse, right? We grow as people, we become wiser and learn from our mistakes. We try to become better, for ourselves and in turn for others.
DeleteYes. First for ourselves and later for others.
DeleteThat doesn't necessarily make us greedy, though. In my opinion, at least, you have to think for yourself before you can do any true good for others. I mean, sure, you can be super generous and kind - giving away everything to anyone who might need it. But where does that leave you? That not only allows others to take advantage of your kindness, but it also eventually leaves you in a position of neediness, where you then become a burden to everyone else.
DeleteI think you are better off trying to become someone that knows how to balance their own needs with another's. That means understanding yourself, and being willing to be called "selfish" as well as being able to sacrifice.
Just how I was raised, though - my family has always been very independently-minded, and I know there are many cultures that think differently about that.
You are remarkably talented :D I am so proud of calling you my blogger Buddy ^.^ You and your amazing poems :P I would share each one of them on my blog but hey it will just end up being two blogs that contains the same thing and it wouldn't be appropriate so that's why I don't feel right sharing your poems ;oo But whenever I read your poems I feel really really happy :D
ReplyDeleteAwe that's so kind of you! :) Thank you. I certainly don't mind, so feel free to go ahead and share anything if and when you'd like. I love it that you enjoy them enough to do so. :)
