Howdy ho! Happy August.
I'm going to keep this post short and sweet today -- as you can obviously tell, I've been posting much less frequently as of late, even on my social accounts. I'm still here, still available whenever you have comments or questions or just feel like saying hey, but I've reached the point where I'm not so worried about having a constant stream of content to put out. If I have something to say, I'll say it.
As it has always gone, my posting frequency will go in streaks. But, to be quite honest, this slower pace lets me focus more on quality. Now that I have a decent amount of older content that folks can browse, I believe that's for the better.
But on to the real reason for this post today:
Thanks to each and every one of you, including myself when I forget to hit the "Don't track my pageviews" box or Blogger just decides it's a malfunctioning butt plug, my blog, sometime last week, reached the milestone of over 100,000 views.
Views make only a minor milestone, but I remember when I had just hit the 10,000 mark. I was so excited! I still have the screenshot of it:

Had Blogger's old interface and everything. Not exactly sure of the date on that image, but safe to say it was 2015.
Feels like forever and a day ago, and like yesterday. 3+ years, however, is certainly long enough!
But I had asked you all how you wanted to celebrate -- I put out a quick Twitter poll, and also a Google Forms survey that was open for a really long time 'cause I forgot to close it -- and of the few responses I received, nearly all said you wanted a Q&A session. That had been my original plan, but with me not being so active recently, I wasn't sure if it would be the best option. (I haven't even visited my blog pals in ages -- eek! Bad Eve, bad!)
So, yes. It's Q&A time! Given my own lack of activity, I'm not expecting a large turnout -- however, I'm looking forward to what you end up asking! Keep in mind that it doesn't just have to be about writing or blogging. You can ask anything you like -- if I can't answer it, I'll say so! Writing, life, personal or impersonal.

This is amazing! Congratulations Eve. You deserve this :D Oh and the "Thanks to each one of you and myself because of the don't track your own pageviews thing" OMMMMMMG. The amount of times I forgot to check that box x) I totally get it! Hahaaha :D
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I am glad that you are taking things slow and writing whenever you feel like. Your content is awesome and we all love to get emails for your new posts. What is important is that you are happy writing them. If you aren't and take this as work then you won't be happy and of course we wouldn't want that. So take your time. Write when you feel like it. You are totally worth the wait. Your writing style is just awesome! :D
