Where the River Bends
It sweeps us along;
Its movement constant,
Powerful and strong.
Gravity pulls,
A silent force;
It's hard to fight back,
Hard to change course.
Down the current we're sent,
As a path is carved in stone;
But down where the river bends,
Is a chance to claim the throne -
Our chance to fight the current,
Our chance to take control;
Time to turn ourselves around,
And to struggle towards our goal.
You are really on top of my best writers list :P I admire you and your talent so much :D You are really amazing Eve ^.^ I love this poem because it's really well written. You slowly start with an idea that is set in your mind.and you really just go with the flow and that's what I love :D Great post as always girl! :))
ReplyDeleteSo sweet as always, Heena! I really do appreciate that. This was a hard one to get started - nothing felt right! I'm very satisfied with how it turned out, though. :) Except maybe the ending. I was ready for bed by that time, but was itching to get it posted. Thank you so much!

A Sea Change
Thank you Kathie! That's really great. It's so tempting to give in sometimes, no matter what the problem is - but you've gotta fight through it. Keep going. :)
